SciCamp Conference 2015, First Announcement

European Conference on Science Camps and non-formal Science Education,
7 – 9 Oct 2015, Berlin (Germany)

At the end of our three-year EU-Comenius SciCamp Project we want to share our project-findings about Science Holiday Camps with you and further exchange with the different actors. Why Science Camps are important is written on this website and in our reports.

- Science Camp organiser,
- Member of an organisation providing non-formal Science / STEM education,
- Employee of a STEM relating company demanding scientists,
- Headmaster, teacher, teacher-trainer or teacher-student,
- Scientist with information about the outcome of non-formal STEM activities
or if you have any interest in modern, powerful and creative STEM education

Venue:

The Conference will take place at the Museum of Technology in the Center of Berlin. It is very famous and also connected to a brand new renewed interactive Science exhibition in the “Science Center Spektrum”. All conference participants have free access to the exhibitions to experience new interactive methods for your Science Camps and to discuss about.

Parking space is limited in Trebbiner Strasse, but there is plenty of pay parking in Gleisdreieck multi-storey car park.

Accommodation:

There are plenty of Hotels and Hostels around the Museum of Technology. You will find every category from 30 Euro to 200 Euro per Night within a radius of one km around the Venue.
Just use your preferred Hotel Compare Portal like swoodoo.com, put in the address “Trebbiner Straße 9, D-10963 Berlin-Kreuzberg” and a radius of 1 km.

Fees:

The participation in the Conference is free of charge. You have to provide yourself with an accommodation and the transport. We ask for apology that we cannot yet say whether the catering is free. That depends at the moment on funding confirmations and we will let you now as soon as possible.
